Found my next 'green tech' role!

NexGenEnergyJobs is fantastic! I was looking for 'green tech recruitment events' and found so many great resources. I applied for a 'clean technology role' and secured an interview within two weeks. The site is super easy to use, and the job alerts are really helpful. I'm definitely going to recommend it to all my friends in the industry!

Good listings, slow support

I used NexGenEnergyJobs to look for 'solar energy jobs' and found some really relevant listings. The site itself was easy to navigate, and setting up job alerts was straightforward. I even applied to a few positions. However, I had a question about one of the employer branding profiles, and it took about three days for customer support to get back to me. While the quality of the job postings was high, I think their response time could be quicker. Overall, it was a positive experience.

Good listings, slow support

I used NextGenEnergyJobs to find a new role after my previous company downsized. The selection of wind power careers was impressive, and I appreciated the focus on renewable energy. I applied for a few positions, including an electric vehicle infrastructure role, and heard back on one within a week. The resume upload process was smooth enough. My only real gripe was when I had a question about my account and it took a few days to hear back from customer support. Overall, a solid platform for the sector, but there's room to improve response times.

Applying for 'wind power careers'

I was specifically searching for 'wind power careers' and landed on NexGenEnergyJobs. The application process for most jobs was smooth; either a direct apply or a redirect to the company site. I appreciated the filter options, which helped narrow down my search significantly. I also subscribed to the job alerts, which have been quite useful, though sometimes I get a few duplicates. I uploaded my resume, and that part was simple enough. It's a solid platform for energy professionals, better than just sifting through general job boards. The site loaded quickly, and I didn't encounter any technical glitches during my searches.

Worth the value for job search

As a first-time user, I was really focused on finding a good deal, even if it's for a job board. NextGenEnergyJobs is free for job seekers, which is already a win for value. I uploaded my resume and applied for a few energy storage vacancies. The career coaching for energy professionals looked interesting, but I didn't use it. It felt worth the time spent because I actually found relevant postings that weren't just reposts from other sites. The interface could be a little more modern, but that's minor given it costs nothing.

Found 'renewable energy internships' here

As a first-time user, I was on the hunt for 'renewable energy internships' and was pretty budget-conscious. I found NexGenEnergyJobs after seeing it mentioned in a forum. The platform is free for job seekers, which was a huge plus for me. I didn't see any direct discounts for job seekers, but the sheer number of relevant listings felt like a good value in itself since I didn't have to pay to access them. I found a great internship opportunity, applied, and actually got an interview! It definitely felt worth the time I invested, even if there weren't any coupon codes for me.

Quick job alerts

Signed up for job alert subscriptions. Got emails quickly. Found a clean technology role. Applied directly. Site worked fine, though sometimes the email links were a bit slow to load.

Found a cool solar gig

I was looking for solar energy jobs and stumbled onto NextGenEnergyJobs. The site was pretty easy to use. I signed up for job alerts and got a few good leads. Ended up applying for a sustainability consultant position and got an interview! The listings were current, which was nice. Just wish the search filters were a bit more detailed.

Hey, anyone know if NexGenEnergyJobs is legit? Like, are these real jobs or just a bunch of old postings?

A Adam Clark 1 month ago
Yeah, it's totally legit. I got my current solar engineering gig through them last year. They update stuff pretty regularly.

Can confirm, found a wind power job there a few months ago. Seemed like real companies posting, not just some random spam.

How does this compare to, say, Climatebase or GreenBiz? Is it worth using both or is this pretty comprehensive for clean energy roles?

J Jennifer 2 weeks ago
This one is really focused on the actual jobs, less newsy than GreenBiz. Climatebase is similar, but I feel like NextGen has more variety in actual postings, especially for wind and solar.

I use all of them, honestly. But this site seems to have a good amount of actual engineering and technical roles that I don't always see on the others.

Any promo codes floating around for job postings? Trying to save a few bucks for my company.

S Sofia Green 1 month ago
Not usually public ones. My company gets them sometimes via email, but it's usually for bulk purchases.

A Amanda Scott 1 month ago
I think they mostly send those out to B2B clients directly. I've never seen one just posted online.

Is this site actually legit? Like, are these real companies posting here or is it just some scammy job board?

J Joseph Nguyen 3 weeks ago
Totally legit. I've applied to several jobs and gotten interviews. It's focused only on renewables, so it's not like a general job site.

N Nick Hernandez 3 weeks ago
Yeah, it's real. My company posts some of our openings there. Way better than LinkedIn for niche energy jobs.

Hey, I'm looking for a solar engineering job in California. How often do new listings pop up on here?

J Jacob 1 month ago
Pretty frequently from what I've seen. I check it every couple days and there are always new ones, especially for solar.

L Linda W. 1 month ago
Yeah, I think they update it daily. I got my last job through them, in wind, and new stuff was always coming in.

How often do new jobs pop up on NexGenEnergyJobs? Don't want to check every day if it's super slow.

L Lisa M. 2 weeks ago
It feels like new ones are added pretty often, especially around the start of the year or after holidays. I set up job alerts and get emails a few times a week.

S Susan S. 2 weeks ago
Definitely not super slow. I'd say daily or every couple of days for sure. Just depends on your niche within renewable energy.

i'm thinking about posting some jobs for my startup, it's pretty small right now. are there any discounts for new companies or smaller businesses?

M Mary Wilson 3 weeks ago
I heard they sometimes have a 'new recruiter trial' or a 'startup discount'. Might be worth emailing them directly to ask.
5
A Abigail J. 3 weeks ago
Yeah, afaik they do offer something for startups. My boss got a deal on bulk credits when we first started using them, but that was a while ago.

Thinking of using NexGen for some hiring. Are there any discounts for first-time employers or like, if I want to post a bunch of jobs?

A Alex White 1 month ago
I think they do offer bulk job credit deals, and sometimes a new recruiter trial. Check their employer section, it should have info there.

H Hannah Johnson 1 month ago
Yeah, I've seen some email marketing for B2B clients with codes, usually for bulk credits. You might have to reach out to them directly.
